Groups

First Lutheran has many interest groups.....

Monday's Ministers

This fellowship group invites members of the congregation to come and talk about their daily ministry (job, family, activities) outside of the church. At other times they talk about current events or topical issues. The group meets for breakfast at church from 6:30 to 7:30 am on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.

Women of the ELCA is a network of 500,000 women nationwide that make a difference in the world because God has made a difference in their lives. Their mission is to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ. Each Circle meets monthly for Bible study and fellowship. First Lutheran Quilters

A quilt is special! Lutheran World Relief explains a quilt brings warmth on a cold night, shelter from the sun on a hot day. It becomes a bed, a room divider, a backpack to carry belongings, and at times even a home. Each quilt is one of a kind, with a beauty all its own, made as a gift of hope by caring people. Quilts distributed by LWR to refugees and other people in need.

The First Lutheran quilt group meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 9:00 am January to October. If you are interested in being a part of this group, click here or call the church office at 488-0919.

Men's Breakfast

It's Saturday morning with the guys. Once a month, good coffee and rolls friends and discussions on topics that impact the life of a Christ follower. Men of all ages are welcome -. invite a friend! The coordinator is Jim Kisling.

This group will meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month, at the church, from 8:00am to 9:00 am.

Keeping God's People In Stitches

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

This intergenerational group of faith minded individuals get together to knit, crochet, cross stitch and any kind of stitch. Gathering time always starts with prayer and a verse or two from the Bible, sharing projects and then it's time to go to work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for fellowship, creativity, syneregy, and is such an incredible opportunity to come together and create something and share the love of this church family. Projects include: Prayer shawls, afghans for First Lutheran graduates and hats and gloves to clothe the needy.

We have people who are willing to learn and teach; as well as persons of all ages. We welcome donations, visitors and prayer requests. Program coordinator is Jan Mares.

The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, 7:00-8:30 pm at the church. You are welcome to come at any time!
