First Friday Jazz at First Lutheran

First Friday Jazz at First Lutheran is a monthly concert series offered by First Lutheran as a musical gift to the community. Concerts are held the first Friday of each month, October through May, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Large, enthusiastic crowds turn out for each concert. A lunch option is always offered for purchase at the concerts or audience members are welcome to bring their own. There is no charge for the concerts, but they are funded by free will donations and lunch purchases. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry.

Group Sax to Perform on May 3

Group SaxFour talented saxophone players join together for a fun-filled final concert of our 2016-17 season! Most of them have appeared leading their own group for past First Friday concerts. They include Paul Haar on soprano and alto sax, Mark Benson on alto and tenor sax, Ed Love on tenor sax and Scott Vicroy on baritone sax. While these four individuals are the nucleus of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra sax section, they also have formed Group Sax, one of the most unique musical ensembles in the Midwest!
