First Friday Jazz at First Lutheran

First Friday Jazz at First Lutheran is a monthly concert series offered by First Lutheran as a musical gift to the community. Concerts are held the first Friday of each month, October through May, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Large, enthusiastic crowds turn out for each concert. A lunch option is always offered for purchase at the concerts or audience members are welcome to bring their own. There is no charge for the concerts, but they are funded by free will donations and lunch purchases. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry.

Thank You for a Successful Seven Years!

The May 5 concert marked the conclusion of the 7th year of First Friday Jazz concerts at First Lutheran Church. Our initial concert was held in October, 2010, and featured one of Lincoln's favorites, Mac McCune. Since that time there have been 56 concerts with a total attendance of over 12,000!

Strong attendance and generous support has allowed us to work with some of the finest jazz performers in Lincoln and Omaha. As our thank you to the Lincoln community, the proceeds from the May 5 concert will support the BackPack Program of Lincoln Public Schools.

We look forward to our 8th season which will begin October 6. Our season line-up will be announced during the summer.
