Summer Orff Ensemble
All 3rd - 8th graders are invited to play in an Orff Ensemble this summer. We'll rehearse June 1, 8 and 15th during the Sunday School hour and play for the 10:30 service on June 22nd.
No prior instrumental experience required, and singing is optional! This is open to
ALL students just finishing grades 3-8 who are interested in learning to play the xylophone and other percussion instruments.

Letting God In - Praying in Color
Having trouble just sitting and praying? Perhaps praying in color will help you take advantage of your prayer time. Sybil MacBeth has developed a new prayer form that may help you move beyond using only words to pray. An instruction and practice session is planned for Monday, May 19 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the church. Paper and colors will be provided but feel free to bring your own colored pencils, markers or journal. Bring your bible and your own coffee mug or iced tea glass. Invite a friend. SOMA Brunch
On Sunday, May 25 during the Adult Forum, Kay Rockwell will show photos of her Shoulder-to-Shoulder experiences with a farming community in Uganda. Following the presentation (11:00 am), SOMA is invited to brunch at Magnolia's (301 N 8th St. in the Haymarket). If you are unable to attend the Forum, please join the group for brunch anyway. SOMA Event
Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 8 at 2:00 pm for CABARET at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. The group will meet afterwards for dinner at 5:00 pm at Grisanti's. Make reservations with Myra Meints, Carol Reed, Elva Mares or Helen Lyles
Tickets are $20 each and checks should be made out to the "Lincoln Community Playhouse" and mailed to Helen Lyles. by May 23
Keeping God's People in Stitches
This ministry group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings each month from 7:00-8:30 pm. Bring youir knitting, crocheting or other handcraft project or just come and we will get you started on a project. Beginners are welcome and "stitchers" of all ages are invited. Young Adult Potluck
All Young Adults from First Lutheran (we'll let you decide what constitutes "young") are invited to a potluck picnic at Holmes Lake Park on Friday, May 20 from 6:00-9:00 pm. Gather at Pavilion #3 (next to the sand volleyball court on the east side of the playground) and bring a dish to share. Table service and drinks will be provided. Kids are welcome. Hope you will join us for a great evening!
