On All Saints Sunday, November 2, we gather as a community of faith to remember and give thanks for the saints who have gone before us—the faithful people who have touched our lives with love, faith and grace. This sacred day invites us to pause and honor those who have completed their earthly journey and now rest in God’s eternal care.
During worship, we will honor First Lutheran members who have passed away in the last year and remember the ways they blessed our congregation and community. In addition, a Remembrance Table will be placed in the Gathering Area, offering everyone an opportunity to celebrate the memory of their loved ones.
You are invited to bring a framed photo (or photos) of those dear to you who have passed away—family members, friends, or others who shaped your faith and life. Please bring your photos to worship on Saturday or Sunday, November 1 and 2, and place them on the table as a visible reminder of the “great cloud of witnesses” that surrounds us.
All Saints Sunday is a day of both remembrance and hope. Even as we grieve those we miss, we also rejoice in the promise of resurrection and the unbreakable bond we share as members of Christ’s body—past, present and future. Together, we proclaim that love is stronger than death, and that in Christ, we are all held in the communion of saints.
Come, remember and give thanks for the saints—both known and unnamed—who have shown us what it means to live faithfully and love deeply.
