Weekly Devotion – One Small Kindness at a Time

By February 16, 2021News, Worship and Pray

Most often, love isn’t rocket science.

It can be as simple as greeting someone with a smile or asking the cashier how their day has been going or telling them you appreciate the job they are doing. You may be shocked at the results.

Aren’t you uplifted when someone reaches out to you with even the smallest kindness, especially when it is unexpected? Try doing the same for others.

You’re not going to turn into Mother Teresa overnight. You will love in the way only you can. But even Mother Teresa didn’t love like Mother Teresa (based on our image of her supernatural feats of love). She loved others mostly with small kindnesses and small kindnesses can collect into a lifetime of love.

Being a loving person is indeed a journey. Choosing to love others happens one small kindness at a time.

(Note: This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. It’s a great time to start speading small kindnesses to others!)
