Why a Columbarium?

Cemeteries have long been part of church properties over the course of the years providing dedicated Christian burial grounds for members of the congregation. In recent years, cremations have become more common. Thus, we simply continue a practice of ages past.

Who may be inurned in the First Lutheran Columbarium?

Current members of First Lutheran Church, a member’s child before baptism and former members of First Lutheran Church (at the discretion of the Columbarium Board) may be inurned in the Columbarium.

Christian Inurnment worship services are conducted under the supervision of a pastor from First Lutheran Church.
