FaithTrek is the Sunday School/Christian Education program for 3 year olds through 5th graders. It focuses on experiential learning, asking questions and having fun. The curriculum brings scripture to life to help us grow as disciples.

Join us for five days of VBS during the summer!

Our 6-8th graders gather weekly during the school year to grow in their faith as they develop their identity as disciples of Jesus Christ through prayer, Bible study, reflection on issues facing middle schoolers and visiting other faith traditions.

“Dinner + Learning” is for 7th & 8th graders and their parents/families during the school year to deepen their relationship through conversations around life issues and topics of faith from a Lutheran perspective. We eat and learn together!

Our middle and high schoolers gather the  first and third Sundays of each month during the school year for food, fun and fellowship. The evening program varies and leaves plenty of room for laughter, conversation and playing! Join us as we grow as disciples together.

A trip outside of familiar territory leads to a journey outside of comfort zones and experiencing God at the margins in life. This summer trip has more to do with how our young people are in the world and less about the projects accomplished. In the summer of 2019, our high school youth traveled to Puerto Rico and our middle school youth were in Lake Traverse, South Dakota.

This weekly online discussion group uses Wired Word to guide their discussion. Wired Word focuses on a news story from the previous week and allows participants to have a conversation about their role in society as Christians, to think outside the box, wrestle with difficult issues and consider ways they might respond in the world around them. This group is open to both men and women of high school age or older and you can join in as your schedule allows.

So often high schoolers wrestle with how to live and use their faith in the public sphere, especially when the world presents challenges. On a weekly basis during the school year our high school youth wade through a variety of topics, including current events, cultural awareness, Bible study, God in daily life and other difficult topics.

Adult Forum is a Sunday morning learning opportunity with presentations on timely topics aimed at helping us live as caring, compassionate, open and grounded disciples in the world.  Forum sessions are offered in-person and on Zoom. Seniors and retirees are a vibrant and important part of the community and considered our wise elders. The quarterly potluck lunch and program, with periodic special events, provide opportunities for fellowship, learning and serving.

God calls us to care for all of creation.Through education, awareness building and action, the Creation Care Team works to empower and equip the church to be good stewards of all God’s creation.

Come and deepen your spirituality. Past topics have included Prayer Beads, Prayer Flags, Praying in Color and more.

Partner with an English Language Learner as a English tutor/teacher on Sundays during the learning hour of 9:30-10:30 AM or during the week.

Join members and friends of the Nebraska Synod on a journey to the Holy Land, Tanzania, Argentina and Uruguay. Offered through the Nebraska Synod, Nebraska Synod Accompaniment and the Synod Global Mission Team.

See faith in the real world and in the lives of characters in best sellers and “everyone is reading” books. Authors and topics vary monthly.

Monday at The Harbor Coffeehouse (located at 1265 S. Cotner Blvd) is about faith talk. The Holy Spirit takes us where we need to go on Sunday’s text, Nebraska’s weather, current events or our joys and concerns. No reservations needed.

It’s a morning jump start with coffee, a light breakfast and man-to-man conversation about life, faith or a book they might be reading together.

Early risers learn from each other as they share stories of faith in daily living. Each session features a congregational member who shares life experiences and where they have seen God’s hand in their life.

Enjoy a light breakfast, cup of good coffee and join the discussion centered on a book, article or video clip. The discussions are open and thought provoking. Open to men of all ages.

The group is reading and discussing The Bible Jesus Read – Why the Old Testament Matters by Philip Yancy. “The Old Testament is God’s biography, the story of his passionate encounter with people.  It is also a prequel to the story of Jesus…” found in the NewTestament.

Women’s small groups, called “Circles”, meet monthly for fellowship, relationship building, projects and spiritual development. Lydia Circle meets 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 pm in a member’s home. Martha Circle meets 3rd Wednesday of month at 9:30 am at church. Esther Circle meets 3rd Thursday of month at 10:00 am at church.

Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning study groups are designed for those wanting study the Bible chapter by chapter. Conversation centers on the devotional, historical, literary and Lutheran context of the lesson. Join in anytime!
