The Nebraska Thrivent Chapter held a “500 Can Challenge” during November. If First Lutheran could collect 500 food items for the Lincoln Food Pantry, Thrivent would give an additional $500 to the Pantry. We not only met the 500 goal, but exceeded it, by donating 2,666 food items!
Our middle and high school youth and parents packed the food up. First member, Steve Lenzen, delivered all the food to the Pantry where volunteers sorted and shelved it. Now, because of your generosity, the empty shelves at the Food Pantry are full! Thank you!
