First Lutheran Church is excited to welcome Benjamin Vogt on Saturday, June 27, at 2:00 PM for his presentation, A New Garden Ethic.” This event is part of a summer focus on caring for creation during Pastor Erin’s sabbatical, but it is open to anyone who wants to learn more about native plants, ecology and the powerful role gardens can play in healing and hope.
Benjamin is the author of A New Garden Ethic: Cultivating Defiant Compassion for an Uncertain Future and Prairie Up: An Introduction to Natural Garden Design. He speaks and teaches nationally on environmental stewardship, native planting and transforming lawns into thriving native plant meadows and gardens.
