A new way to love our neighbors—right at home.
Sometimes the smallest tasks can feel like the biggest challenges. Helping Hands at First is a new ministry, sponsored by the Community Connections & Collaborations Team, that connects women and men at First Lutheran who are willing to lend a hand with simple, everyday jobs for fellow members who could use a little extra support.
Examples of “helping hand” tasks include changing overhead light bulbs, replacing smoke alarm batteries, carrying boxes up or down stairs, installing furnace filters, hanging pictures, moving light furniture or offering simple tech help. These are short-term, practical tasks—small acts that make a big difference.
If you would like to offer a helping hand or request a helping hand, please contact Gene Cotter.
Helping Hands at First provides short-term, non-professional assistance with simple household tasks and does not include skilled trades, yardwork, cleaning, medical care or ongoing maintenance.
