October 6 – Food Bank and BackPack Program Update – Kathy Dickey, First Lutheran member, and John Mabry, Lincoln Food Bank. Get an update on Lincoln Food Bank programs and First Lutheran’s sponsorship of the BackPack program at local elementary schools.
October 13 – Building Update. The congregation is invited to the Chapel to hear of our building renovation progress.
October 20 – Medical Marijuana: What Are We Talking About? Dr. Jeremy Peterson will share facts on medical marijuana and what is happening in the Nebraska Legislature on this topic. Joining him will be Tonja Peterson-Wondt and David Swartz.
October 27 – Water: Too Much, Not Enough. Dealing with Extremes in Nebraska – Tom Riley, First Lutheran member. Presentation on how water impacts our lives in Nebraska and a review the recent flooding events in our state.
