Adult Forum meets every Sunday in the Chapel from 9:30-10:30 am.
June 2 – TedWomen – Michelle Michl, First Lutheran Member. Women the world over are no longer accepting the status quo. Whatever their focus and talent, these pioneers and their allies are joining forces in an explosion of discovery and ingenuity to drive real, meaningful change.
June 9 – Synod Assembly Report for the Forum – Hear an update of this year’s Synod Assembly from voting members, Marianne Warnes, Judy Batterman, Mitch Snyder, Kent Hardel and Craig Heier, and rostered staff, Pastor Justin, Pastor Dan and Sunni Richardson.
June 16 – The State of the Synod – Megan Morrow, Assistant to the Bishop.Take a look at the shifting lay of the land across the church and the exciting ways the Spirit is moving in the midst of it.
June 23 – How to Connect with Our Legislature on Key Bills that Pertain with Issues of Poverty, Hunger and Employment – Wendy DeBoer, Nebraska Senator. The issues in front of the Nebraska Legislature are complex. Sen. DeBoer will discuss how her theological training provides a unique perspective in addressing issues of poverty, hunger and employment. Faith has always guided Sen. DeBoer and it continues to inform the actions she believes we need to take to tackle these issues. Using the knowledge she has from serving in her first session, Sen. DeBoer will discuss ways to advance policies to help the most vulnerable.
