All Are Invited to the First Fall Festival

By September 14, 2022September 22nd, 2022Events, News

Mark your calendars now for Sunday, October 2, for the First Fall Festival at First Lutheran Church!

Our neighborhood and community and YOU are invited to join us for games, a bounce house, pumpkin painting, live jazz music with the Ed Love Ensemble, food trucks (Mary Ellen BBQ and Taco Loco), a chili cook-off, a blessing of pets and so much more!

The pet blessing will take place at 1:00 pm in our Nature Center. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. (If you can’t make the pet blessing on October 2 we are offering another pet blessing on Saturday, October 1, at 9:00 am)

A chili cookoff will also be held during the festival! Tastings of each chili will give you the opportunity to vote for the hottest, best, most original and People’s Choice awards. Do you have a chili recipe you think is a winner in any one or more of these categories? Submit your chili at https://forms.gle/sWS1mSpzy7Mpui6B9 and you just might walk away a winner!

We will also offer tours of our renovated building! Come and take a peek at how our new additions and renovations reflect our congregation’s commitment to being a welcoming community!

The event is FREE, but we ask attendees to bring non-perishable food items for the Lutheran Food Pantry. Parking will be availabe in our church parking lot with additional parking available at 6900 A Street.

Mark your calendar and plan to join us as we celebrate the start of the new fall season!

P.S. Are you willling to donate some fall decor for the fall festival? We could also use volunteer help on the day of the festival! Sign up online for either and know that your support is appreciated!
