Dear First Lutheran Friends,
The time has come for me to say goodbye to you. I will be leaving at the beginning of March to take an interim position in Grand Island for a minimum of 2 years. In late December I was asked by my Episcopal bishop to prayerfully consider a request to serve a small parish in central Nebraska. I did so and after meeting with the parish representatives in late January, we decided to move forward with this call. They need strong and healthy leadership after some setbacks and we both feel that together we can begin their process of healing and moving forward. You are in wonderful hands with your new pastor (she’s a gem!) and soon(ish) you will have a permanent associate; the search committee is forming now to find the right person for this church. It has been a great pleasure to be with you as a pastor. This is an awesome church full of amazing people of God. You are a blessing so go on being that rich and glorious blessing to each other, to Lincoln and to the whole world!
