One of the most important pieces of our call process for a new Associate Pastor is the formation of our Call Committee. According to our constitution, the Council elects six congregational members to the Call Committee. This team works in partnership with Synod staff and the Associate to the Bishop. Seeking God’s will for the congregation, they pray, receive names of candidates, prepare questions for interviews with candidates, conduct interviews and recommend a candidate to the Council for their consideration. Serving on the Call Committee requires both a high degree of confidentiality and a significant commitment of time. We will strive for this team to reflect the make-up of our congregation as much as possible.
