We are better together when we are in relationship with our loving God and Savior and when we are in relationship with one another. The stories we share with one another is an essential part of our connection to family, friends and to community. Through story we reveal what cannot be seen and make ourselves known to one another in personal and sometimes profound ways. We deepen the connections that make us human.
During this Lenten season we are invited to engage with one another through story. Our Lenten devotional highlights welcome stories from members of our congregation. They share times when they were welcomed and times when they welcomed others. Every Sunday, through Lent, we will add to the devotional daily stories of welcoming and being welcomed, Scripture, reflection questions and activities you can do with family members or friends during the week. Through these stories may we appreciate that we are better together when we welcome one another into community.
We are truly better together, one body in Christ Jesus, and this Lenten season promises to reveal this truth to us.
