During the summer, we spend more time outdoors, enjoying and celebrating God’s creation. We look for ways to be good stewards of this creation and take care of the earth. Buying Fair Trade is one way we can do this.First Lutheran sells Fair Trade coffee, tea, chocolate, and olive oil, all of which are grown according to strict environmental standards. For example, Equal Exchange coffee, available at First Lutheran, is certified organic and shade-grown, which protects the environment. We have just begun stocking French Roast drip grind from Equal Exchange, in response to customer requests.
Stop by the sales table in the Commons this Sunday from 9:15-10:45 am and purchase some to try! You can also buy Fair Trade items during regular office hours Monday through Friday.
