The Nominating Committee (Tera Beerman, Gene Cotter, Steve Eicher, Carlene Falos, Norm Kempf, Sandy Latshaw and Emily Sears) asks you to prayerfully consider being a nominee for an elected office at the 2024 First Lutheran annual meeting in January. Nominees are now being accepted for:
Congregation Council has general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation, in particular its worship life, to the end that everything be done in accordance with the Word of God and the faith and practice of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The council is responsible for the financial and property matters of the congregation, as well as other specific duties. Members are elected to a 3-year term.
Nominating Committee prepares a slate of two candidates, if possible, for each vacancy on the Congregation Council, Endowment Fund Board, Synod Assembly and the next Nominating Committee and presents the slate at the annual meeting. Members are elected to a 2-year term.
Endowment Fund Board administers the Endowment Fund, which exists to enhance the mission of the congregation, apart from the general operation of the congregation. Members are elected to a 3-year term.
Synod Assembly representatives are First Lutheran laypersons who serve as voting members of the Synod Assembly to be held May 31- June 2, 2024. Members are elected for a 1-year term.
