Dimensions Education Program: Child Care Costs are Increasing

By November 20, 2020Learn, News

by Michelle Zimmerman; Dimensions Education Program

Now, more than ever, it is important for children to be in a safe environment with caring teachers who help them learn, grow, laugh and love. Because of the mission and generosity of First Lutheran Church, together, we are able to support families and children. As the result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost to provide quality child care has gone up substantially, but it is imperative we continue to provide a caring and safe place for children.

In order to adhere to the Health Department guidelines, we have had to make changes that have impacted our budget. It was necessary to reduce the number of the number of teachers to cover door monitoring, cleaning and subbing. In addition, our costs for cleaning and hygiene supplies have increased tremendously due to quantity needed and large price increases.

If you are in a position to make a donation to help support Dimensions through these difficult times, it will help us continue to navigate through this very challenging time. Donations can be sent to: Dimensions, 7700 A Street, Lincoln, NE 68510.
