The day was cold, the deadline tight and the need urgent. Yet the response was swift and the action truly inspiring.
If you think the property committee of First Lutheran Church is solely focused on maintaining church grounds, think again. Their dedication extends far beyond the church walls, especially to the needs of its members. When a member of the congregation faced an urgent property issue, the men of the property committee didn’t hesitate. With tools in hand and hearts ready to serve, they sprang into action.
What started as an overwhelming problem for the member was resolved in just a few hours – thanks to their hard work and generosity. Their efforts even included a well-deserved break, enjoying hot soup served from the back of a car.
Living out our faith isn’t confined to Sundays or church buildings. It’s a 24/7 vocation, lived out every day and everywhere. Thank you to the men of the property committee for embodying the true spirit of discipleship and reminding us all what it means to serve with faith and compassion.
