Faith in Action: Driving Change for Justice in Our Community

By May 5, 2025Education, News
First Lutheran is honored to be a part of Justice in Action, proudly represented by a delegation of our members at last Thursday night’s Nehemiah Assembly. Our faith calls us to seek justice, and alongside 26 other faith communities in Lincoln and Lancaster County, we are committed to advocating for landlord-tenant mediation, mental health navigation and pre-trial diversion.
At the assembly, two out of three local officials pledged to collaborate with JIA teams over the next year to address these priority concerns. The event, attended by over 1,000 people, served as a powerful reminder that meaningful change is possible. When we come together, amplify our voices and work in solidarity, justice can be achieved and lives can be transformed.
