First Friday Jazz in April will turn into Second Friday Jazz when Darryl White hits the stage on Friday, April 14, from 11:30 am-1:00 pm. The free concert at First Lutheran Church has been moved from the first Friday to the second due to a conflict with Good Friday worship.
A First Friday Jazz favorite, Darryl will be backed by Hans Sturm on bass and Jeff Jenkins on piano. He will be featuring music from a CD he recorded in 2020 named, “The Serpent and Dove.” The music is devoted to the human spirit and gives tribute to those who have suffered injustice.
His performance will be in the Activity Center of First Lutheran, located at 1551 South 70th Street in Lincoln. There is no admission to the concert and lunch is available for purchase. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry.
Mark your calendar, spread the word about the date change and plan to join us for amazing jazz music on April 14. We will be back to First Friday Jazz on May 5 with our final concert of the season featuring Andy Hall!
