Your commitment to living into First Lutheran Church’s Welcome Statement, guided by our liturgy’s baptismal promises to “work for justice and peace throughout the world,” is clear! That’s why we are sure that you’ll want to learn more about the Congregation Council’s recent decision to partner with Justice in Action (JIA), a grassroots coalition of 24 Lincoln faith communities. Our Justice in Action membership means that we can easily access resources and support from two experienced full-time staff members as we work alongside other congregations to identify and propose solutions for pressing local issues. Current coalition priorities include: Affordable Housing, a Navigation System for Mental Health Care and Expansion of Pre-Trial Diversion services. Learn more at https://www.justice-in-action.org.
Mark your calendar for these upcoming events and make plans to attend:

- May 2nd, 6:30-8:00 PM – Nehemiah Gathering of participating congregations at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Lincoln
