Tonight First Lutheran Church will be honored by Lutheran Family Services (LFS) as the “Community Partner of the Year.” We are surprised and humbled by this award. It recognizes our partnership with LFS in its many and varied programs and ministries in Lincoln. This video was prepared by LFS and a shorter version of it will be shown at the awards program. Thank you to all the faithful servants who volunteer their time in this important ministry!
Following the award presentations, Lutheran Family Services is sponsoring “Stories of Survival” at UNL’s Kimball Recital Hall,1113 R St., from 7:30-8:30 pm. (Doors open 7:00 pm.) This FREE public event will feature survivors of the Holocaust, the Cambodian Killing Fields and an ISIS attack all telling their stories of survival.
