First Week of Souper Bowl of Caring – Vegetables vs Fruit

Hunger affects communities all across the country – rural, urban, and suburban. In the Food Bank of Lincoln’s 16-county service area, an estimated 57,960 people, including 18,740 children, face food insecurity. You can help fight hunger right here in the Lincoln area by supporting our Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive.
It’s our first week of the food drive and we have a competition between canned vegetables and canned fruit. Bring one or both items to the Commons by Friday, January 10, so we can see which one wins. Next week we will have a competition between canned meals (e.g. spaghetti and meatballs) and Mac ‘n Cheese.
All food and monetary gifts will be donated to the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry.
