Together, all 90,000 of us, will be focused on responding to Christ’s sending to GO and… Each month through May 2024 there will be an intentional theme inviting you to be a part of the call to GO! We all share stories of family, friends, school, work and life experiences. Storytelling is a fundamental part of being human. Jesus knew the power of stories. He used many storytelling strategies to solidify his teachings, but more importantly, to connect and engage with the people he met.
Think about Jesus’ stories and all the other stories in the Bible. Is there a story you connect with? Does your own story reflect a biblical story? Which story would it be? Give it some thought. Then, share your biblical story on the Go and… Share Your Story Community Board in the Commons at First Lutheran.
Here are a few ways you can share your biblical story:
- Look for a Go and…Share Your Story notecard in the worship bulletin every Sunday during August. Complete it and drop it in the offering plate and someone will be sure to post it on the community board.
- Stop by the community board in the Commons where Go and…Share Your Story notecards are available for you to complete and post on the board yourself.
- Complete a digital copy of the Go and…Share Your Story notecard by clicking on this link using a computer. Instructions on how to share it through email are included. We will be sure your card is printed and posted on the board!
We all need stories. We need to tell our story and we need to listen to other’s stories. So, Go and…Share Your Story and know that your life story is a precious glimpse of our collective story, enveloped in God’s much larger story of deep love and grace.
