Group Sax to Perform at First Friday Jazz

By December 29, 2018News

Four of Nebraska’s most accomplished saxophone players have joined their individual talents into Group Sax and will be featured at the January 4th First Friday Jazz concert from 11:30 am-1:00 pm. The members have performed individually and collectively throughout the world with many great musicians and groups. Paul Haar is featured on tenor and C melody sax, Mark Benson plays alto and tenor sax as well as clarinet, Ed Love plays tenor and C melody sax and Scott Vicroy plays baritone and bass sax.

Group Sax will play an eclectic set of original jazz compositions and arrangements of jazz standards. This is jazz chamber music at its best that is both clever and witty.

Come and stay for all of the concert or leave when you need to. Lunch will be available for purchase with proceeds supporting the First Lutheran high school summer accompaniment trip to Puerto Rico. The concert is free but donations of non-perishable food items for the food pantry is highly encouraged.
