Hear Today’s Story About the Prayer Life of God’s People at Mid-Week Advent Worship

By December 14, 2022News, Worship and Pray

Our mid-week Advent worship service today will give you the chance to deepen your understanding of prayer by exploring an Old Testament story that teaches you about the prayer life of God’s people.

During last Wednesday’s service we heard the story of Hannah (1 Samuel 1:1-18) and her longing for years to bear a child. Her anquish and distress over her unanswered prayers to God turned to eventual bargaining with him. It is through her story and the story we will hear in today’s mid-week worship that we are reminded God is always in relationship with us, to have faith that he will respond to our prayers and that sometimes he responds and works in ways we can not always see or understand. (You can hear Hannah’s story in last week’s mid-week Advent message below.)

Join us today, Wednesday, December 14, at noon and 6:30 pm for Holden Evening Prayer. Plan to enjoy soup after the noon service or at 5:30 pm before the evening service. All are welcome!
