Hi, First! Ms. Laura here! It’s over 100 degrees, yet fall is in the air, at least for FaithTrek! I’m proud that our FaithTrek numbers are growing and we are adding another classroom this year. If you haven’t noticed, we have an outstanding bunch of cherubs here at First Lutheran.
That old saying, “It takes a village”, is true at First. We need to staff the FaithTrek rooms with teachers on Sunday mornings, starting September 10. In the past, we have relied on the parents of the children to teach, but I need the help from my village, along with parents.
I know, I know! It sounds daunting to be a teacher of little cherubs, but we have made it easy for YOU to be a spark in their life. There is not an expectation of teaching every week. You could volunteer once or twice a month or even a semester. The cherubs will start with music by our First Lutheran Choir Directors for 20 minutes. They will then will go to their classrooms for 35 minutes of instruction. That’s it – just 35 minutes! All preparation will be done for you with supplies waiting for you in the room. I will email you the curriculum in advance so you can be familiar with it and ask me questions, if needed. We strive for 2 people in each classroom so you won’t be alone. Better yet, grab your First Lutheran bestie and sign up together. Partners are great too!
Thank you for considering this special request! We need the entire village to help raise our cherubs up with Christ.
