Jackie Allen to Wrap Up the First Friday Jazz Season

By April 26, 2024Events, News

Join us as we wrap up this season’s First Friday Jazz on May 3rd at First Lutheran Church. You’re invited to immerse yourself in a musical tribute to the iconic tunes of the roaring 20s and 30s.

Experience the exceptional talents of jazz vocalist, Jackie Allen, and the renowned saxophonist/clarinetist Ed Love, accompanied by an all-star lineup featuring Jeff Jenkins on piano, Hans Sturm on bass and Justin Jones on drums. Together, they will delight you with timeless classics like “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” “Honeysuckle Rose” and “Stormy Weather.”

The performance will take place from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on May 3rd in the Activity Center at First Lutheran Church, located at 1551 South 70th Street.

No tickets needed! This is a free event, though donations are appreciated. Lunch will be available for purchase.

We also invite you to support the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry by contributing non-perishable food items to help those in need in our community.

Don’t miss this opportunity to witness these extraordinary musicians as they conclude our current season. Stay tuned for the return of the series in October for its 13th season.

Save the date, invite your friends, and get ready for an unforgettable jazz experience. See you on May 3rd!
