Holiday music with a jazzy flair will be the focus of the December 1 First Friday Jazz Concert at First Lutheran. The featured ensemble, Group Sax, includes Paul Haar, Mark Benson, Ed Love and Scott Vicroy.
Group Sax is one of the most unique musical ensembles in the Midwest, performing for over twenty years in the regions nightclubs, jazz festivals and other venues. Paul Haar plays soprano and alto saxophones, while Mark Benson is featured on alto and tenor saxophones, as well as flute and clarinet. Ed Love plays tenor and c-melody saxophones and clarinet and Scott Vicroy is featured on baritone saxophone and bass clarinet.
The concert will be held in the Activity Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 pm. There is no admission charge and lunch will be available for purchase.
Fair Trade products, including coffee, tea and chocolate will also be available for purchase during the concert. Fair Trade products make great holiday gifts while supporting the local farmers who grow the products.
