Every Sunday feels like a little Easter as we gather to celebrate the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Holy Week is a special journey we take together—from the excitement of Palm Sunday to the joy of Easter morning—as we walk with Christ from death into new life.
We begin on Palm/Passion Sunday by welcoming Jesus with joy and celebration, waving palms and shouting “Hosanna!”—while also hearing the story of what lies ahead. From the palm procession to the powerful telling of Jesus’ passion, worship begins to turn our hearts toward Good Friday.
On Maundy Thursday (noon and 6:30 PM, with livestream), we remember Jesus’ last night with his disciples—sharing a meal, giving us Holy Communion and offering a simple but powerful command: love one another. The service ends in quiet reflection as the altar is stripped.
Good Friday (noon and 6:30 PM, with livestream) is a time to pause, pray and reflect as we hear Jesus’ words from the cross. Through scripture, silence and song, we take in the depth of God’s love revealed in the cross.
You’re also invited to a special Community Easter Vigil at 6:30 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran in Hickman (6901 Panama Road). Through fire, scripture, water, bread and wine, we remember God’s promise to bring life out of death and celebrate the heart of our faith.
Then comes Easter morning—a fresh start and a joyful celebration! Join us for Festival Worship at 8:00, 9:30 (with livestream) or 11:00 AM as we celebrate Christ’s victory over death with music, lilies and Holy Communion.
Come early or stay after for Easter breakfast from 8:30–10:00 AM—featuring casseroles, cinnamon rolls, muffins and coffeecake—and enjoy time together in community.
