Thanksgiving is a day where many people take time to think about what they’re thankful for. Whether it’s something they do quietly to themselves or around a table of loved ones, it’s a time of year for reflecting on what we’re grateful for. Did you know that there are many benefits to practicing gratitude? Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity and build strong relationships. Gratitude is something that should be practiced a lot more than for a couple of minutes once a year – more like a couple of minutes every day!
Make plans to join other First members in the Activity Center on Sunday, November 20, from 9:30-10:30 am when you will engage in, create and walk away with gratitude practices and activities you can use year-round! This will be a fun fellowship event for ALL AGES, especially families! On that day we will also have First Thanksgiving Sunday worship at 8:15 am and 10:45 am when we reflect on and give thanks to God for the blessings in our life. Come and share your gratitude on November 20!
