The Las Abejitas Bilingual Education Center is gaining momentum as word spreads about its opening at First Lutheran in June! Owner, Kayla Munoz, recently participated in a community connections panel, sponsored by the Lincoln Community Foundation, on the state of early childhood education with Lincoln Littles. Kayla discussed what it’s like to open a new center in Lincoln and how Lincoln Littles helped her with the first steps and facilitated her connection with First Lutheran. She shared how lucky she is to be surrounded by such a positive and supportive church community. After the panel presentation, Kayla received lots of interest in the Center and had five new families on her waiting list that night!
Kayla is hoping to start early enrollment late March. She will be hosting an open house for curious First Lutheran members on Saturday, April 22, from 1-3 pm. Come tour and learn more about the Center!
An open house for interested families will be held Saturday, April 29, from 1-3 pm, offering a time for families to tour the Center and enroll their children. There will be a Spanish-speaking clown, raffle baskets and other fun activities planned!
