Envelope Fundraiser to Help the Youth Reach Their Summer Destinations and Beyond
How does the Envelope Fundraiser work?
- Look at the envelopes posted on the wall in the Gathering Area and decide which dollar amount you are willing to donate.
- Pick that envelope off the wall.
- Place your check or cash in the envelope.
- Return it to the church office (Please put your name on the envelope if you would like credit on your statement for the donation).
As envelopes disappear from the board, pictures of the youth will appear with statements from them why they are going on the trips and / or what they hope to experience or have experienced from previous trips. The 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering will be held in New Orleans so any moneys collected above what is needed this summer will be used for this upcoming trip. Registration for the Gathering will begin in September 2023.
Hire a Young Person for Spring Yard Cleanup and Planting and Support the Accompaniment Trips
Would you like help with spring yard cleanup or planting? Our middle and high school youth are offering to be “hired” (donations accepted, no hourly rate charge) to help raise money for their summer trips. The dates youth are available are Saturday April 15, 29 or May 6 in the mornings or afternoons. Please contact Sharon Hardel at sharon@flclincoln.org with details about the work you are wanting done, approximately how many hours you think it will take and what date and time suits you best. Megan Jenkins has volunteered to coordinate this project and will be in touch with you to make final arrangements.
We are thankful for the congregation’s prayers and financial support as we continue to plan for this summer.
