Yesterday, adults and kids of all ages came together for a special all-ages lantern-making event to help us prepare for the start of Advent. With coffee, juice and plenty of donut holes, the room was full of laughter, conversation and the simple joy of creating something meaningful together.
We also shared a beloved Advent story about a young girl whose small acts of kindness slowly bring light back to her darkened village—a reminder that even the smallest light can make a difference.
By the end of the morning, dozens of handmade lanterns were placed on our Advent Tree, ready to shine in the Sanctuary when the season begins this Sunday.
A wonderful way to prepare our hearts—and our space—for the season to come.
