To the First Lutheran Congregational Membership,
This is to inform you that the Congregational Council has called a special meeting of our congregation for October 27, 2024. The special meeting will occur along with the pot luck dinner and Town Hall which will be held immediately following our 10:45 AM worship service. The special meeting will begin about 1:00 PM, following our meal.
The two agenda items for the meeting are (1) to reduce the number of congregational council members from 15 to 12, and (2) handle some housekeeping matters related to the First Lutheran Endowment Board. Our Town Hall dialogue will be held immediately following the special meeting vote.
The specific wording of the two proposed amendments is attached.
We need your participation to meet the requirements that 5% of our voting members must be present and voting.
Thank you,
Lee Rockwell
Congregational Council President
Note: On Sunday, October 27, we will also celebrate Reformation Sunday with a single worship service at 10:45 AM, accommodating the Good Life Halfsy. Arrive early, between 9:30 and 10:30 AM, to enjoy the planned Reformation festivities and a Bake Sale of Indulgences – stay tuned for more details! After the worship service, we will enjoy a potluck lunch. Main dishes, salads, vegetables and desserts are needed. Singles should bring one dish and couples/families bring two dishes. The Town Hall Forum and special congregational meeting will follow lunch.
