At Las Abejitas at First Lutheran, our teachers bring heart and care to every corner of our center. They know each child by name, both inside and outside the clasroom, and greet them with warmth, making every child and family feel like part of one big, supportive community.
We celebrate life’s moments together — from birthdays and baby showers to milestones and meal trains. With the love and support of our parents, teachers and First Lutheran partner , we’ve built a community that shines with kindness, connection and encouragement, especially in challenging times.
Our little learners have been embracing the season, exploring pumpkins through painting, decorating, scooping seeds, and sensory play. Watching them discover, create and share seasonal joys is a delight! Halloween was extra special thanks to our friends at First Lutheran Church, who helped spread smiles and fun throughout the day.
Looking ahead, join us for a fundraising event at Bin 105 on Friday, November 21st, featuring a silent auction! If you’d like to donate items for First Lutheran’s cozy basket (to be sold at the auction)— think fuzzy socks, hot chocolate and blankets — or connect us with a local business willing to donate, please reach out to me at office@lasabejitas.net.
In the spirit of caring for one another, Las Abejitas will also have a free pantry available for its families. If you can donate items, it would be appreciated. Items most needed include: white rice, beans, Maseca corn flour, canned fruit, powdered milk, cereal, pasta and sauce, canned chicken, non-refrigerated fresh fruits and vegetables, macaroni and cheese, baby cereal and purées, baby wipes, toilet paper and feminine products. Please ensure all items are unopened and not expired.
We are grateful to our families and First Lutheran partner for helping us nurture a community that cares deeply for one another!
