Thanksgiving is a day where many people take time to think about what they’re thankful for. Whether it’s something they do quietly to themselves or around a table of loved ones, it’s a time of year for reflecting on what we’re grateful for. Did you know that there are many benefits to practicing gratitude? Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity and build strong relationships. Gratitude is something that should be practiced a lot more than for a couple of minutes once a year – more like a couple of minutes every day!
Enjoy the benefits of sharing gratitude when we celebrate Gratitude Sunday from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Activity Center this Sunday! We will be expressing our gratitude in a variety of ways – by making a big prayer chain, coloring tablecloths for the Thanksgiving Day dinner and having conversations about family holiday traditions – just to name a few. We also invite you to bring a $20-$25 Target or Scooters gift card for the Center for People’s Teen Holiday Gift Card Drive. Families and members of all ages are encouraged to come and express their gratitude!
