Sponsored by the Nebraska Women of the ELCA and Lutheran Family Services (LFS), the Saved to Serve event August 17-19 in Omaha allows women across Nebraska to tour and learn about various Omaha area LFS facilities, assist at the Foster Care Closet, assemble Foster Care activity kits, make blankets for those in need, package food for the International Pantry and sew softies. Anyone can contribute to the tangible offering by donating diapers (especially size 4, 5 and 6), wipes, 2 yards of fleece and gifts cards for Walmart or Target. Items can be brought to Sunni’s office.
