Today at VBS, our theme was “Shine Your Light,” centered around the verse from Isaiah 58:10: “Feed the hungry and help the troubled. Then your light will shine through the darkness, making it as bright as noon.” We learned about Japan and Central African Republic today. Ms. Masako shared stories and facts about her home country, Japan, while also teaching origami to the group. In crafts we made paper fans and kites. We made care kits for our neighbors in need in the Simulation Station and enjoyed sweet pancakes with red bean paste for snacks. For games we played glow freeze tag where we passed glowstiks to friends to keep them safe from “it.” Our food donations are increasing for the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry, where we will donate them at the week’s end.
