Every first Sunday of the month, First Lutheran members have the opportunity to give generously and make a difference during our Noisy Offering. During worship, kids hear a special message about who the Noisy Offering will help – usually causes supporting children and families – and why their generosity matters. With excitement, they collect coins, dollar bills and checks from the congregation, tossing them into the silver pot to make cheerful noise! In 2024 alone, we raised over $5,201 to support impactful programs locally, nationally and globally. This Sunday’s Noisy Offering will support The Lighthouse in Lincoln, a program that’s more than after-school care. It’s a safe, supportive space where middle and high school students can learn, grow and thrive during critical after-school hours. Open year-round, Monday through Friday, The Lighthouse offers academic support, meals and activities to help students build a brighter future. Their mission: give students the tools and support they need to graduate high school and chase their dreams.
