What is life like for Christians in Palestine? How can we connect with their stories?
Pastor Adam Miller-Stubbendick, a Nebraska native, and his wife, Pastor Jordan Miller-Stubbendick, worked together as co-country coordinators for the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission program in Jerusalem and the West Bank from 2022 to 2023. During their time there, they partnered with the Palestinian community of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL) and witnessed the incredible faith and resilience of a people facing daily challenges.
In October 2023, rising violence in Gaza forced the Miller-Stubbendick family to leave. As they said goodbye, one request stayed with them: “Tell your country what is really happening in Palestine.”
Now back in the U.S., they are sharing stories of life in Palestine and the incredible work of the ELCJHL. Through personal experiences, photos, and heartfelt accounts, their presentations focus on the human side of Palestine and how the ELCA community can offer support.
