Summer fun is in full swing at Las Abejitas! Our school-age campers have been enjoying themed weeks and field trips that spark creativity and curiosity. From building ziplines at UNL’s College of Engineering to tapping into their artistic side at Paint Yourself Silly, the hands-on experiences have been unforgettable.
We’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming incredible community guests. The Astronomy Club shared stellar knowledge, while Dara from First Lutheran brought her lovable service dogs to spread joy. Up next, Bev from First Lutheran will share a 4th of July-themed puppet show! These visits enrich our program, and we’re so grateful for the time and passion our visitors bring. If you’d like to share your special skills or stories with our children, we’d love to hear from you!
Looking ahead, Fall 2025 enrollment is now open, and spots are filling quickly. Don’t miss your chance to join the Las Abejitas family!
Lastly, we acknowledge the challenging times many in our community are facing. We’ve recently said goodbye to two valued staff members due to visa issues, a stark reminder of the struggles within our community. At Las Abejitas, we are committed to remaining a safe and welcoming space for all. Together, we’ll continue to build a future filled with compassion and inclusion.
With love,
Kayla Muñoz & the Las Abejitas Family
