With 20 extra school-agers at the Las Abejitas Bilingual Education Center summer program, the days have been even busier!
The Center’s summer themes have been a blast and they’ve had a lot of really cool field trips and visitors, including an astronomer, magician and trips to the SAC museum, local parks and UNL college of engineering.
They also keep moving up in their Step Up to Quality Journey and have already reached Step 2! Once they reach Step 3, they will be able to offer Lincoln Littles tuition scholarships for their families, based on availability. They are currently at capacity in all age groups and have a waitlist for infants and toddlers. They hope to alleviate that by opening a second, more central location soon. More exciting news on that to come!
