Tabitha provides a great service to the Lincoln community through their Meals on Wheels (MOW) ministry by preparing and coordinating delivery of hot noon meals to needy recipients. First Lutheran volunteers currently deliver approximately 25 routes each month (8-12 deliveries per route). Several routes are delivered on Sunday mornings. Tabitha delivers the food coolers to the back door of First Lutheran by 11:00 am each Sunday. Volunteers gather the coolers for their assigned route, deliver the meals and return the coolers to Tabitha. We currently have a need for drivers on both the 2nd and 5th Sundays of every month.
