When women and children face domestic violence, they often experience isolation and struggle to find a safe haven from the trauma. Many feel trapped, believing there’s no path to recovery. The Friendship Home in Lincoln acts as a lifeline, offering survivors the chance to rebuild amidst their darkest times and serving as a beacon of hope for the future.
This Sunday’s Noisy Offering will back the Friendship Home’s annual Safe Quarters event on October 13 – their primary fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from this day-long event provide survivors under the Home’s care with secure shelter, crisis intervention and ongoing assistance for families seeking to start anew in a violence-free environment. Their goal is to raise $100,000. Safe Quarters is crucial for ensuring the Friendship Home can continue aiding those in need. So, bring your quarters (bills are accepted, too!) to worship on Sunday and let’s support the Friendship Home!
