Our worship services will undergo a slight transformation in July and August. Throughout the final two months of summer, we are excited to introduce a sermon series titled The Good Book: Meeting Our Ancestors in Faith, One Story at a Time. This 8-week journey will help us rediscover the “good” in the Good Book, as we delve into ancient stories of faith from the Old and New Testaments, drawing parallels to our lives today.
Here’s a glimpse at the stories we will explore during the series:
Old Testament Track
S is for Salt: Genesis 19:15-17, 24-26
I is for Israel: Genesis 32:24-28
J is for Joseph: Genesis 50:15-21
P is for Puah: Exodus 1:15-22
New Testament Track
G is for Growing up: Luke 2:41-52
L is for Laodicea: Revelation 3:15-16
S is for shipwreck: Acts 27:1, 9-11
N is for Nicodemus: John 3:1-10
Note: Each week corresponds to a chapter in Dr. Carter Florence’s book, A is for Alabaster, which should provide plenty of food for thought and inspiration!
