What do you get when you combine jazz and pop standards from the 30’s and 40’s with the harmonies and style of the Mills Brothers? The Lightning Bugs! As one of Lincoln’s favorite jazz performance groups, The Bugs will be taking center stage at First Friday Jazz on November 3.
The Bugs have played hundreds of gigs in all kinds of venues and settings and are an audience favorite at First Friday Jazz! Just take a listen of their performance a few years ago and you will see why!
Their November 3 concert will be from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM in the Activity Center of First Lutheran Church, located at 1551 South 70th Street, in Lincoln. There is no admission charge for the performance, but lunch will be available for purchase. Audience members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Lincoln Lutheran Food Pantry.
The First Friday Jazz series began in October of 2011 as an outreach ministry of First Lutheran, providing a performance venue in east Lincoln.
