This Sunday, our Good Book summer sermon series will explore the story of Lot’s wife, as recounted in Genesis 19:15-17, 24-26. Historically, interpreters have seldom shown grace towards Lot’s wife, often making assumptions about her without considering why she looked back. This tendency to judge without understanding is something we all can relate to—a moment when we made assumptions about others without taking the time to delve deeper.
But what if we did? We might discover shared experiences and find that we have more in common with one another and with the characters in Scripture than we realize. Why did Lot’s wife look back? Perhaps for the same reasons we often do—and maybe her story is an invitation for all of us to move forward.
Join us for worship this weekend – Saturday at 5:30 PM or Sunday at 8:15 AM and 10:45 AM- as we explore how stories of our ancestors in faith intersect with our own personal stories.
